Question by peachy: Easy meals ideas for cooking with a skillet?
Here is the situation: I like to go camping, which of course requires strategic packing and planning when it comes to food. This isn’t the kind of camping where you pull up to a site and unload a grill out of your trunk. This is the kind of camping that you load up a pack and hike into a site, miles away from your car, set up camp, cook, and then head out in the morning.

We recently bought a skillet to spice things up from our normal routine of backpacking meals at night (that only require those freeze-dried meals and some boiling water), and oatmeal or energy bars in the morning. We tried to make eggs on the skillet once, but it was a disaster. We also have a stove and pot, which is usually for boiling water.

What can we cook on the skillet, whether it be dinner or breakfast? The food we bring in with us needs to be fairly light and small, and ideally, cheap. I was thinking of cutting up veggies and making a stir-fry, but for two people, that might take up a lot of room.

do you have a different meaning for skillet? it is a frying pan where I am from so it has sides and you can cook up anything in it.
