3 burner camp stove question by Bob M: How much gas will I use in a weeks camping trip?
Going on a camping trip for a week with some friends, there’s going to be 7 of us that have a fry up pretty much every morning. I’ve bought 2 Hi Gear single burner stoves and also 12x 220g Butane cartridges (as they were on offer), but I don’t know how many we will use and I don’t want to take more than necessary as we’re travelling by train and are tight for bag space.
Unfortunately we don’t have room for a large gas bottle, and they are so expensive over here! Also, the campsite does not allow open fires for health and safety reasons.

Depends on how long you need to cook for each meal if your expecting to use that stove(s) for the whole of your group than one cartridge per stove will last per meal. I don’t know how much you spent for all that but I personally think you chose the wrong set up. Take a look at this option,

@? apparently you don’t know what your looking at this is a compact backpacking stove that uses unleaded gasoline as a fuel in small refillable portable bottles of about the same size as the butane use once only cartridges. This is way lighter and more convenient that what you have now.
