I’ve been very pleased with my jetboil utensils and don’t consider them to be flimsy at all. I love the telescoping design so that I have the benefits of compact/lightweight while still getting to use a nice long-handled, full-size spoon and fork (nice for eating out of bottle, jetboil stove, or freezer bags…lol). They wash up easily and durability has been excellent. Check online reviews- they may seem flimsy at first glance to campers using cast iron stoves and fire cooking, but backpackers give these 4 and 5 stars. Well designed, hold up great on trips in the pack, good size and nice reach.

I was very surprised upon receiving this product. It was much more flimsy than I thought it would be. I was afraid the spatula would fall apart if I tried to flip food with it. They are too high priced for the quaility of the product. Had they not been so expensive I would have given them to my granddaughter for her play kitchen.

We have a jetboil jetset and these utensils were just perfect. They are not flimsy and made out of very good sturdy material. Easy to wash and easy to store, this is out second set due to loosing our first one.

THE SKINNY: Great utensils for cooking, although the spatula is a little flimsy and small for any steaks above 12 oz. but it can be done. (Hey, don’t judge. I like my beef on camping trips.) Other than that, these work well, resist heat, and are actually pretty durable. Also, they collapse down to be quite small so they actually fit with my eating utensils in my GSI Outdoors Bugaboo Backpacker.

    PROS:

    Durable

    Extremely Lightweight

    Compact

    CONS:

    None

BOTTOM LINE: I would recommend this to hikers

If you’re looking for light compact utensils to use with your Jetboil, than look no further. These utensils do exactly what they’re intended to do, they extend to reach that last morsal in the bottom of the cup and allow you to stir your meal during preparation. If you plan on taking down an Elk and field dressing it with these you might be disappointed. They make a great addition to a great product and pack away neatly on the side of the cup when not in use.
