I purchased several of these mugs years ago when they first came to market. Since then, they have not only been a staple in our camping supplies, but with our military sons. They’ll hold a “brick” of Ramen very nicely and fit well in a microwave aboard ship — great for those times when the regular fare isn’t up to par! And the lid ensures the meal gets to its destination even in rough seas. It may seem too large for backpacking, but it isn’t. You can pack a day’s meals inside the cup; thus, it takes up almost no room at all. Finally, as designed, it is great for the chow line — fill up this baby and you won’t go away hungry. Very durable; never had one crack or leak.

I’m on my 3rd fairshare mug. The original ones still work fine, they just get scratched up over time. Great for camping, and super useful to keep in your desk at the office. One word of advice, don’t heat things with the lid on it – you can cause the lid to warp and it’ll never screw on right.
I first sought it out for heating canned foods while at work – I wanted a secure lid that would keep the food in incase I dropped the bowl. I also wanted something with a handle so I could carry a bowl of hot soup back to my desk – the fairshare mug fits the bill perfectly. Plus, in a pinch, it has gradients on the side for rough measurements.
Absolutely love it, wouldn’t live without one.
