I just got my oven in the mail. It look pretty well made. Nice and heavy. The lid fits a little loose but I think it should work just fine.

Title says it all..long spoon wont fit inside mess kit. My knife was serrated and stamped stainless. Opener was also sharp. all fit in handle nicely and this beats a spork for me. But, it is a little oversized for the spoon and limits it for inclusion "inside" your mess kit. Overall, I like it and use it.

Solid chow set. You will need to put an edge on the knife, as it comes with none whatsoever. Likewise, helps to sharpen the edge on the can opener and to smooth over the edges of the spoon's bowl (which is nice and large) for better feel. Implements don't always stay put in the handle of the can opener, so comes with a plastic case. Case may not last too long, but the utensils themselves should last forever.

I really like this set, and am very pleased with it. the nesting design allows so much for a moderately small package. the design is solid for the most part and everything heats evenly. the grips on the cups are wonderful, I can hold a HOT cup of tea and only feel warmth in my hand. I can go on and list positives, but I will leave it at I am happy and would recommend this.

that being said, I want to list the cons:
-the handle, while being clever and fun to play with, there is only one, so you can only use one pot or the pan at a time unless you buy more. it also gets hot if you leave the pot or pan on the stove for more than a few minutes. make sure you use a towel or something so you don't get burnt.
-the lids are nice and easy to use, the built in strainer is useful, but there is no way to close it. this isn't a big deal for some things, but for steaming rice I had to use a wet towel to cover the strainer. I haven't had my set long so I can't comment on whether they indeed do warp or not. mine have not yet.
-the pots are of high quality, but I will have to buy a separate, smaller one, the two included will be great for 4 people, but they are big for doing something like heating a pasta sauce.
-the "bowls" are kinda useless. I'd have a heck of a time eating cereal or soup out of something so narrow. they do make for great extra cups and do function as bowls fine, they're just a bit awkward.
-the carrying bag/wash basin is very nice, but the "handle" isn't really a handle, more of a strap to keep everything together. don't count on using it to carry the set. I'd like to see a carrying bag of some type, even if it's an extra purchase.

but like I said, I like this set and would replace it with the same if something happened to it. I still give it 4 stars, and the cons are more of me nit picking

I want to like this product, I really do. I like press coffee makers and I like coffee when camping. When the water in the pot is cold, the lid fits tightly and you can pour with no problems. But, when the pot is hot, I guess the lid material expands and when you pour, no matter how slowly or carefully, the coffee pours down the side of the pot. I won't send it back, but I probably won't use it much.

I bought this kit for 2 reasons. First, for occasional family camping use. Second, as an emergency cook / dinner ware set for emergency conditions. The set is very compact when you put it away. It is not something I would take hiking / backpacking because of the weight. However, it is great for family camping and shorter treks to your camping area. The 4 colors let plates / cups / bowls be easily separated for individuals (important when you have kids who squabble over such things). As for emergencies, it is a compact, easily grabbed set that is mobile when needed. That is exactly what you need during emergencies such as floods, earthquakes, etc. This would have rated 5 stars had the pans been of a slightly higher quality. They are useable for sure, but higher quality would have made this an outstanding buy.

This is exactly what i was looking for. i purchased this and the LiTech Trek Kettle at the same time and have been very happy. i have used this thing countless times over the 2 years i have had it and it is still kicking. Look on youtube for the video on how to make it pour better, as that is its only problem.
