camping griddle

Article by Meliza Mateo

There are several camping grills that are considered to be the best. Here’s three of the best: Blackstone Cook, The Weber Baby Q 100 Grill and European Outdoor Chef City Grill, and the Camp Chef Weekender 2-Burner Stove.

Camping is a wonderful time to bond with your family and/or friends, have that adventure together that you will cherish for a long time. It’s an activity done by so many people all over that it’s no surprise that there are a lot of camping gears being sold, especially camping grills. But what camping grill should you get, the best one to cook on so you can enjoy your camping adventure more?

Blackstone Cook

Best Camping Gear Reviews, founded in 2008 to address the lack of online content that catered to campers specifically, awards the Blackstone Cook 4 out of 5 starts and considers it the best camping grill around. One of the best things about this camping grill is that it has a large surface to cook on, with 4 burners that put out 15,000 BTU and are independently controlled. Their standard griddle top is great for cooking breakfasts and has proven to be very easy to clean. Its large size can let you simultaneously cook about 2 dozen eggs on the griddle top. And since it is a propane grill, it is easy to light. Thought very large when it is set up, it can easily fold and can fit in with the rest of your camping gear.

Weber Baby Q 100 Grill and European Outdoor Chef City

Two camping grills are considered to be the best under the criterion of portability. The Weber Baby Q 100 Grill is made of quality materials. For a small grill, it has a large cooking surface. It is also easy to use as it can be assembled within minutes and after screwing in a propane cylinder, you’re good to go.

The European Outdoor Chef City Grill, for a portable and lightweight gas grill, has the same power and function of a full-sized grill. Internal engineering allows the user to either focus or distribute the heat. It is also versatile enough that it can roast, fry, or grill.

Camp Chef Weekender 2-Burner Stove

For those on a budget, Camp Chef Weekender 2-Burner Stove is considered the best camping grill that retails for under 0. It has 2 cast burners that give out 30,000 BTU and a tabletop design that comes with leg extensions, making it ideal when you’re on the go. It also has control knobs that similar to the common appliances, which adds to the ease of use and a large cooking surface measuring at 345 square inches. All these perks, and yet it retails for about 0.

With the assurance that even while outdoors, you’ll still be able to enjoy your meals with the best camping grills there is, you can go right ahead and have those great memories of the adventures you have during your camping trip.

camping griddle question by northernlite13: Does anyone know the best way to clean a cast iron griddle/grill?
Went camping and placed the grill over the fire ring to cook. Tried to get most of the food off the grill part (reversible sides, smooth and grill) after cooking. Was too hot. When it cooled food is really tough to remove even after scrubing it with just about everything I have. Didn’t know if I could use a grill brush or SOS. If anyone has suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I have used comet before, I would let it soak for a little bit, then try some softscrub or comet. It is hard to hurt cast iron. Make sure to season it (rub it down with some veg oil) after its dry.

    Ask home-depot specialists.

Run it through the self cleaning cycle in your oven.

Best thing I can suggest you use is this. Pour enough warm water /not hot. just to cover the stains. Now add a tablespoonful of baking powder/soda. leave for 10 min“s . once the stains have been removed , you can use a little dish washing detergent to clean. Dry well. The best way to keep your grill is to pour a little olive oil on the surface of the grill. and rub in with kitchen paper. this will stop your cast iron grill from rust. and make it so much easier to use the next time round

A good wire brush and hot, soapy water will work. Just be sure to season the griddle after cleaning or it is going to rust. Spray or rub with cooking oil and place into a warm oven for about 4 hours to let the oil soak into the metal. Don’t wash with comet since cast iron will expand when heated and the comet will soak into the “pores” of the metal. Anything that is cooked on the griddle will taste like comet for a long time until it works that crap out.

You could use SOS. Or, check around and see if maybe you could use something like easyoff oven cleaner. I hope this helps answer your question. Take care.
