I picked up this camp coffee pot to take camping at Michigan International Speedway. I have had it for seven years now and it is probably second only to my tent in terms of necessity. I use my Coleman RoadTrip Party Grill – Black and by the time I am done showering the coffee is ready to go. Super easy to clean, it is five pieces (the pot, the stem, basket, basket cover and lid). It has notches for measuring water and a see through top so you know when it is ready. Uses the smaller, four-cup filters even though capacity is nine cups. Always be sure to have some sort of towel or potholder handy though, because it is made entirely of metal, the handles get very hot when perking.

I used this percolator repeatedly, and have never had an issue with it. Like all percolators, expect a few grounds in the coffee. But this little jewel is made to hang over your campfire to keep warm. And it does just that, very well. You can see it in action in my videos at FatDaddy4Fun on You Tube. The top bail hangs the little pot over the fire from your cowboy irons or a tripod. The small bail at the bottom is meant to be hooked, to tilt the hanging pot forward, to pour. You don’t have to remove the pot, just tilt and pour. I like the little aluminum pot. Did as it is advertised. Nothing more, and nothing less. It isn’t stainless steel. And it doesn’t have a glass viewing bulb. Waaaaaaa. It doesn’t have a $50 price tag either. lol. Nothing wrong with this little pot for solo campers, and it’s really light enough (being aluminum) for hikers, if you have the room. I am pleased with this product, everytime I use it. It probably won’t last as long as a steel pot, but it has endured a couple ofd seasons so far, and that’s more than anyone can expect for the price tag. Hope this helps.

To that person that doesn’t like theirs, please mail to me. I’d love to have another!

Just received the coffee pot. For starters I was looking for stainless steel not aluminum when I went through the product list, and when I pulled the percolator from the box it has a plastic percolator top not glass, and I noticed that the one review on this item said you should use a 4 cup filter but due to the stem no filter can be utilized.
Honestly, I would be reluctant to use this coffee pot and can’t believe how hard Amazon made it to even publish this review. Recommend if you want a percolator get a stainless steel one with a glass percolator top and stainless steel components and you’ll be better off for it.
